I rode for a few miles on I-35 predawn this morning, along with the early morning rush hour traffic going towards Austin. It was clear how insane our car/truck frantic energy culture is. Power, speed, one person per vehicle. When I got back onto a country road the contrast was great, and greatly appreciated.
